In 1992, Mr. Fisher began JEFCO Development Corp, a Houston based development firm specializing in commercial/retail real estate. He has more than 30 years’ experience in all aspects of shopping centers and commercial/retail properties where he has since specialized in lifestyle shopping centers and build-to-suits for nationally accredited companies such as Hollywood Video, Brinker International (Chili\'s), IHOP, Mattress Giant, Staples, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Blockbuster Entertainment Corp, Payless, Old Navy, Stein Mart, Office Depot, Sports Authority, DSW, YUM Brands, PetSmart, Michael’s, Wal-Mart, etc.In JEFCO built Portofino, the first and largest lifestyle power center in Texas and the Greater Houston market, containing over square feet, complete with Venetian architecture, Roman fountains, canals, courtyards and two 10-foot waterfalls.Today, with Mr. Fisher’s expertise in design & development, JEFCO continues to stay on the cutting edge of lifestyle center development. The Shopping Center Business article, “Dealing for Fun” in July, 2003 - “JEFCO is recognized for its creative and innovative approach to development and is considered an industry leader for lifestyle centers.” JEFCO has developed the first restaurant and entertainment lifestyle center and has designed everything from master-planned commercial lifestyle projects, with office buildings, apartments and retail main streets plazas to casinos in Panama City, Panama.
