About Jim Daniell
Jim is hard core geek with a passion for changing the world. He has been a large company executive ($18B P&L), a start-up entrepreneur (with over $100M raised), and a prominent angel investor in the technology sector. After 20 years in tech, Jim joined the non-profit sector in 2009 where he became deeply engaged in transforming large, international NGOs as COO of Oxfam America. While also serving on the board of NetHope, he sought to combine the power of large NGOs with the innovation of the tech sector more broadly by co-founding the NetHope Center for the Digital Nonprofit along with his good friend Jean-Louis Ecochard. Together they pioneered the first sector wide assessments of digital transformation seeking to better understand why nonprofits struggle to adapt to the rapidly changing world around them. Today, Jim and his network are advising a mixture of non-profit and for-profit CXO clients on how to pragmatically tackle digital transformation across process, people, and technology while continuing to operate current businesses. Jim continues to be leader in both the tech sector in Boston while a sought after speaker on ways to reimagine the world around us in profound new ways.Lastly, Jim continues to try to make Boston the best place to start and grow a high tech company. He is very active in several organizations including Mass Tech Leadership Council.Specialties: Loves to cook for good friends and is an avid tennis player and willing to hit anytime at either Longwood Cricket Club (LCC) or the Badminton and Tennis Club (B&T).
