I have built and managed teams from 4 to over 70 people, through an number of startup and 1st generation product initiatives. My focus is on cloud resident infrastructure services including messaging services.Notable achievements include: Building large-scale messaging infrastructure based on Kafka for Cognite, Venture CTO for BCGDV, Next generation workload management services for public, private, and hybrid-cloud deployment for VMware. Ubix Labs: an in-memory Data Analytics and Visualization startup, Elastic Block Storage for Amazon Web Services (EBS), and the HP Cloud Data Analytics Services: Map Reduce (Hadoop), Database-as-a-Service (Trove), Messaging (RMQ), DNS (Moniker), as well as Deployment and Monitoring services while Director of Engineering at HP. I have have been issued patents in a number of areas, including several covering OTA (over the air updating) for mobile & wireless devices which were sold/transferred to Apple Computers.
