Currently working on the Castorone in the Gulf of Mexico on the Jack St Malo project. Finished in Cortemaggiore Italy Working on Kcc Williams WPQT. Also assisting with the WPQT For Ichthys Project.
ABOUT JIM CONLAN
A small summery of what I’ve been up to in the last 25 years while working within the pipeline coating industry.Most of that time working for CRTS Inc who design and run internal coating robots. Where I was based In Tulsa OK. Projects onshore and offshore around the world Including Hong Kong. China.Chile.Peru.Ecuador.Mexico.Kuwait.Bahrain and Qualification Trails for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. While in the US also spent time working in coating plants for Commercial Resins Company and Midwestern Pipeline Services in Napa Valley CA. Worked for ALH In the UK as a Technician on fast setting concrete for offshore joint infills. Worked for PIH based in Burnley preparing qualification trails for different projects and different clients. Including BP’s Greater Plutonio project which I ended up going offshore Angola. For the Last 6 years I’ve moved over to the Inspection side. With projects for National Grid up and down the Uk everything from Pipe delivery. Stringing. Welders Qualifications. Welding.Coating lower and lay and backfill. On Cross country pipelines and AGI work. Last year spent time offsore Nigeria for Subsea 7 on the Antares. Currently working offshore for Saipem where I’m able to cover the welding or coating stations
