About Jim Boora

Born and raised in a small coastal town in Washington State, I had the privilege to be the son and grandson to James A. and James D. Boora. Both spent their careers in the financial industry serving Aberdeen and surrounding communities. Most prominently, both worked as VP and President/CEO of Aberdeen Federal Savings & Loan, then Anchor Bank. My family had a significant impact in my upraising, and eventually I realized I wanted to follow in the financial footsteps of my father and grandfather.I opened the first Edward Jones office in Hoquiam in in the historic Allman-Hubble Tug Boat office on the bank of the Hoquiam river. I have over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, with my CFP® certification and a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. We focus on serving families who have a desire to build wealth and pass that wealth on for generations to come.Along with myself, my branch team includes Taleana Peterson, Associate Financial Advisor, Dannette Haggerty, Senior Branch Office Administrator, Sharaya Brydon, Branch Office Administrator. We have two children, Brittani, a veterinarian in Olympia, and Jimmy, studying electrical engineering at Washington State University.
