ABOUT JIM BOLAND
I’m a Co-Founder and Partner at Signature Law Partners, where I help clients navigate some of the most highly regulated industries in the country — with a focus on the rapidly evolving cannabis and hemp sectors. My work blends legal strategy, business insight, and a practical understanding of how to build and scale companies in complex regulatory environments.I got my start in the cannabis industry in 2018 with a Chicago start-up that became the largest vertically integrated cannabis company in the United States during my time there. That experience taught me how to balance innovation with compliance — and that great legal counsel isn’t just about solving problems, it’s about anticipating them.Outside of Signature, I’m proud to serve as an Ambassador for PivotPoint, a nonprofit that expands access to adventure-based programs for youth and young adults navigating challenges with mental health, behavioral health, and substance use. It’s a mission that speaks to me personally and keeps me grounded in why connection, purpose, and service matter — both in life and in law.
