About Jim Bildner
Jim is the CEO of the Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation, a leading global venture philanthropy firm that finds, funds and supports social impact organizations working to address some of society’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. Jim currently serves or has served as a board member for DRK portfolio organization boards including Landed, SIRUM, Pérez Art Museum Miami, OpenBiome, JUST Capital, The GroundTruth Project/Report for America, and EducationSuperHighway. He also serves on institutional boards including The Kresge Foundation, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and The Africa Center. A nationally recognized thought leader on nonprofit organizations, social enterprise, capitalization, and the institutional role of philanthropy in solving complex societal issues, Jim is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School where he teaches social entrepreneurship. Jim’s prior experience includes 22 years in the private sector and service in the public sector including holding elected office in his community.
