As a Workers\' Compensation Claims Examiner, I provide thorough workers\' compensation instruction to brokers, policyholders, and self-insured entities.In charge of designated accounts, my work is necessary for the successful settlement of large exposure claims. I institute and conduct claim reviews for large policyholders regularly. I specialize in restaurant franchise and construction accounts. I feel that by keeping up with current events, laws, and trends, I remain versatile and a valuable asset. A blueprint and a plan are important, but adapting is essential.I ensure every workers’ compensation claim is administered properly per its medical, legal factual contents. With a wide range of expertise, I have handled claims in industries such as farm labor, medical workers, restaurant, and recently, construction. I post reserves and accomplishments of negotiating a resolution of the matter between the parties. I also advised our bill review and medical review department on what they could do to be more profitable and to assist our clients.Over the years, this position has evolved to include marketing. When it comes to promotions and marketing, I think that creativity is a big part of problem-solving. For example, should a company wanted to expand its client list, it may be as simple as using existing tools and resources as your marketing platform and doing more with it than your competition. Love what you do or don\'t do it.\" – Mark Cuban INSPIRATION Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, in 1996, I decided to sell everything that I had and move to San Diego to pursue my career. I was looking for better opportunities. I’d already had a strong education and corporate job experience. It only took one month for me to land my first job in San Diego as a workers’ compensation claims examiner. I’ve been expanding on that position ever since. Nothing compares to actually experiencing the work and then making decisions based on your assessments. I’ve always tried to gather all of the information. I’m apolitical, so I gather as much intel from all sources, not just what I want to see.My philosophy is to address each case or circumstance on its individualized merit or circumstances. I don’t work to get it right. I work hard to keep it right. The following is what I think about metaphorically to remember that every day counts: “I don’t hate Mondays. Monday’s are 14% of my life, and that’s a lot to throw away.”I firmly believe that education not only teaches us, but it also teaches us how to learn. Education teaches us about achievement. It teaches us about the importance of curiosity, creativity, and culture. I’m an avid reader and lifelong learner.
