About Jillian Choy

Hello! I’m a Senior at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a 3.7 GPA pursuing my B.S. in Marketing with a secondary concentration in Finance.At Fordham, I have been selected as a Marketing Scholars Candidate. As a Marketing Scholars Candidate, I am one of 30 selected students for a career development program providing unique, high-profile opportunities to advance marketing careers through visits to leading advertising agencies and exposure to other industry-leading professionals. I have been active in several roles on campus. I served as the VP of Operations under Fordham\'s student government where I was elected by Fordham\'s undergraduate student population. I currently also serve as the President of Fordham Marketing Association, a New Student Orientation Leader, as well as a Freshmen Advising Mentor. Within Fordham’s academics, there are two hallmark programs that have allowed me to work in team settings for extended periods where I generated deep analysis and research to support a large final presentation. As part of Gabelli\'s Consulting Cup, I worked with a team of my peers to develop a comprehensive solution to expand Adobe’s software program, Adobe Animate. We competed against 70 teams and advanced to the semi-finals where we pitched our plan to a panel of judges using a 38 page PowerPoint presentation. This team effort enabled me to cultivate my leadership, communication, and creative thinking skills. During my freshman year, my team participated in the PVH Business Plan Challenge, where we developed a comprehensive business plan for The Book Nook, an application to enable Fordham students’ to reuse and recycle used textbooks.
