ABOUT JILLIAN WINKLER LESKO
I am a passionate Gender Justice Advocate focused on immigrant, refugee, and asylum seeker rights through the platform of community advocacy, development, and organizing. I believe in the critical need to implement an intersectional lens through participatory practices. Through my studies, my professional experience, and my personal ties, I have dedicated my life to issues related to LGBTQ+ rights, gender justice, reproductive justice, racial justice, humanitarian causes, human rights, immigrant rights, food security, and housing rights. Through working on these issues I have been able to implement intersectional approaches to ever present issues that require such lenses and ways of organizing and engaging with the communities most impacted. I believe in agency, belonging, and community are human rights for all. Through my work and passion for human rights, I look forward to furthering the pathway for social justice.
