ABOUT JILLIAN SESSUMS
As a Jr. Project Manager at NTG Environmental, I conduct botanical and ecological surveys for various land use projects, such as oil field remediation and permitting projects. I apply my knowledge of range and high desert plant identification, BLM sensitive and endangered species surveying, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices. I also perform remedial action activities including work plan generation, soil sampling and planning, and deferral and closure reporting. At NTG, I have been cross trained over a wide variety of service lines to use my knowledge and skills base to find practical solutions to environmental issues. I graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2023 with a degree in natural resource management, where I learned the principles and techniques of land reclamation, ecological restoration, and natural resource management. I have experience working as a natural resources technician and a vegetation technician for SWCA Environmental Consultants and Grouse Mountain Environmental Consultants, respectively, where I gained proficiency in arcGIS software, migratory bird, raptor, and small mammal surveying, and soil surveying. I am also certified in Bureau of Land Management AIM surveying protocol and SSPS for CFO and VFO. I am passionate about conserving and restoring the natural environment and contributing to sustainable development.
