ABOUT JILL HOWARTH
I make operations seamless and effective. It doesn\'t matter what I turn my hand to – I\'ll pick tasks up quickly and find ways to improve them. A trip down memory lane: In 2002, I started working as a PA to three directors at Dunlop. Little did I know that this role would shape my career in unexpected ways. It became the catalyst for who I am today. I would spend my days providing CEO-level PA support whilst juggling HR, Health & Safety and Quality Assurance. I wore many hats! And I’ve continued to do that throughout my career. The next chapter:I moved into Quality Assurance and later Human Resources where I delivered specialist HR services to managers and employees – I completed my qualifications to prove I\'m serious about business excellence. Skills in my toolbox: Working for over two decades in specialist areas, I\'ve been able to add many tools to my belt. Think of me as a swiss army knife that can manage multiple scenarios in any of the following areas: • CEO-level support • Imports & Logistics Operations• Supply Chain Management• Business Development & Support • Policy Development • Human Resources• Project Management• Technical Support • Data Analysis & Reporting• Some serious IT prowess I haven’t just developed skills; I’ve mastered the art of managing entire functions. Climbing entrepreneurial ladders:Climbing the corporate ladder was fun, but I also built my own ladder! Enter VA Business Solutions in 2009. It allowed me to share insights with small business owners eager to improve their operations. I brought together everything I\'d learned throughout my career. From my entrepreneurial spirit, strategic mind and ability to react quickly to change, I was in the perfect position to start my own company. Approach to work:I\'m not just an average operations professional but an employer\'s go-to trouble-shooter and business improvement enthusiast. Challenges fuel my fire, and I\'m always ready to roll up my sleeves. I need a role that keeps me engaged and constantly learning. I like to be in roles where I can see the bigger picture and contribute to the overall success of a company. Beyond the 9-to-5: When I\'m not knee-deep in work, catch me strategically sipping coffee in the morning for that caffeine boost and enjoying a calming cup of tea in the afternoon. Also, I love a good walk! Being a member of the Greater Manchester & High Peak Ramblers brings a bit of balance to my life, and I get to be part of a community where just putting one foot in front of the other is celebrated.
