As an outreach to families who have lost loved ones through tragedy, my husband and I, alongside the board of directors, founded The Bakari Foundation with a unique mission to provide transformative travel healing retreats for families who have lost loved ones at the hands of another and educate and empower underserved youth and communities. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, donors, and community leaders. Lead a team of dedicated board members and volunteers to foster a culture of collaboration andimpact. Develop and help implement healing retreats and youth educational programs and materials. Advocate for crime survivor policies, mental health, and youth empowerment.
