Bayou Land Conservancy preserves land along streams for flood control, clean water, and wildlife. We envision a protected network of green spaces that connect people and nature. Our area of conservation focus is the Lake Houston watershed, source of drinking water for millions in our region. We are one of 400 accredited land trusts working in the United States.My role is to work with staff, board and volunteers to preserve more land, steward the more than acres we have protected, and engage our community in conservation practices and advocacy for conservation-friendly policies.
