The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit educational organization whose mission is promoting economic and financial literacy for all Oklahomans.Established in 1954, OCEE is affilited with the Council for Economic Education – a national network of state councils and university-based centers. OCEE is housed and supported by The University of Central Oklahoma.We train teachers to teach economic concepts, free-enterprise education and basic financial management skills in grades K-12. Our goal is reaching all children in Oklahoma, giving them the skills they need to be productive citizens, informed consumers, and knowledgeable voters. Ensuring our students understand economics and know how to manage their financial resources are the keys to growth and development in our State.

ABOUT JILL AUTEN
Growing up my dream was to have a classroom of my own and inspire young minds. I did just that for 12 years during which I happily taught a variety of middle school and high school history & social studies classes while also teaching the skills my students needed to be successful after high school graduation. My favorite courses to teach were Government and Personal Finance. Seeing students form their opinions and find their voices as well as make responsible finance decisions was my absolute favorite! I am now the Programs Manager for the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education. I help PreK-12th grade educators find fun and engaging ways to teach Economics and Personal Finance in their classrooms as well as manage our various student programs, all of which are free to our public and private school Oklahoma educators! I am also an avid world traveller and extreme history nerd. Recommend to me a history book or documentary, and check out my travel blog!
