ABOUT JILL SEELMEYER

As the Director of Advancement at The Food Literacy Project, I lead the fundraising, communications, and outreach efforts of a nonprofit organization that empowers youth and families to build healthy communities through food, farming, and the land. With more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, I have a passion for creating positive social change through storytelling, education, and advocacy. My core competencies include grant research and writing, donor prospect research and cultivation, media relations, social media, and program development. I have successfully secured and managed multiple grants from foundations, corporations, and government agencies, totaling tens of millions in funding for various programs and initiatives. I have also developed and implemented effective communication strategies that showcase the impact and vision of The Food Literacy Project, engaging diverse audiences and stakeholders through various channels and platforms. Additionally, I have collaborated with staff, board, volunteers, and partners to expand the reach and influence of the organization, building strategic relationships and alliances within the community.
