About Jill R.
Started as a student teacher in 1992, substituted for a while, became a Writing Lab Instructor, using my Bachelor\'s Degree in English. While working full time as a teacher I earned my Master\'s degree in Education in CTE teacher in Computer Information and Networking Systems until left for several years to work in industry and two other vocational schools. Returned to Blue Hills in 2005 after my daughter, Sophia was born as a CINS teacher until 2008. Attended MAVA Leadership 1. Shortly thereafter, moved into administration and was promoted to Academic Director where I learned about master scheduling and grant writing for about six years. Then earned the role as the Principal which I loved, too. Then I became a \"Pandemic\" Superintendent-Director (in September of 2019) and I am honored to work with amazing staff, faculty, students and school committee as I go into my fifth year as BHR\'s Superintendent-Director. I also enjoy bringing Enzo, our comfort dog to school to bring comfort and joy to students and adults. We also volunteer at some memory care and assisted living facilities on the weekends.
