ABOUT JILL MOFFATT
I am a second year PhD student at Laurentian University, Canada, studying athlete motherhood and sport media in the context of gender equity and maternity rights with a reproductive justice lens under the supervision of Dr. Kerry McGannon. I am also two-time Olympic rower (Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024) for Team Canada and co-founder of MOMentum, an award-winning non-profit supporting Canadian women athletes with resources for family planning with a social justice sensibility.In my free time I enjoy freelance writing. You can find some of my journalistic work in Elle Magazine, the National Post, and the Toronto Star.
