I’m an award-winning photo editor and newsroom leader at the Houston Chronicle, where I’ve spent 18 years guiding a team of talented visual journalists through every kind of story Texas can offer — from hurricanes and elections to championship wins and quiet community moments.I’m at my best when helping others do their best work. I believe great photojournalism comes from trust, collaboration, and curiosity — and I’m passionate about mentoring photographers to grow beyond their comfort zones in an ever-changing media landscape.Before joining the Chronicle, I was a photo editor at The Washington Post and chief photographer for three Los Angeles Times community newspapers. Outside of journalism, I’m a proud dog mom, live music lover, Tutu Live Krewe member, tap dancer, and believer in all things positive and good.
