Author of Better Make It Real: Creating Authenticity in an Increasingly Fake World (Praeger, 2010). My book describes how organizations can discover their authentic distinctiveness and make it manifest in everything they do, helping them to stand out in a competitive marketplace and attract and retain the right talent to achieve their goals. I am an expert in designing authentic workplace and cultural experiences, and am a sought-after speaker and media source in the areas of organizational authenticity, visionary leadership, business and brand identity, and workplace creativity and innovation. Advisor to organizations interested in creating a Best Place to Work culture that brings results. As former Executive Officer of Kahler Slater, a global interdisciplinary design enterprise, I worked for 20 years to create an organizational culture that led to the company being named a Best Place to Work by the Great Places to Work Institute a record ten years in a row. I describe this success in my first book, and since retiring from Kahler Slater in 2011, I now assist other organizations looking to achieve similar success. Activist for community causes.
