About Jill Harrison

A story-focused creative connector and project manager, I drive effective impact through strategic communications and engagement, live and digital programming, and brand and organizational development. For over 20 years, I have collaborated with award winning arts, education, and civic institutions to develop and implement extensive experiences and communications strategies. With my master-level training in vision and communication, I have the skills to interface with dynamic enterprises and people. From fully realized events in arts centers, to lectures and one-on-one trainings at universities, to gatherings with civic and arts + culture leaders, to developing and running a new non-profit model, I am ready to create and elevate meaningful and successful experiences. My work with Directors Gathering (DG) especially highlights my vision and experience. As Founder + Executive Director, since 2014, I have developed and led the launch of a non-profit membership model that programs year-round both on ground and digitally. Through work with (DG)\'s Board of Directors and consultants, I raised over for the start-up of the organization via building relationships with granting organizations and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns. In 2019, I worked with the (DG) board and team to launch (DG) Membership, the organization\'s consistent community platform and a source of revenue for the organization to subsidize programming and operations.I serve as a national voice in elevating arts and culture leaders and theatre directors as visionaries. Since 2016, I have collaborated with fellow director-centric programmers and leaders at the Stage Directors + Choreographers Society, The Drama League, and other director-centric programs to mutually grow our interest in serving theatre directors and their significant impact on our arts and culture.Since 2014, I have also worked as a freelance creative consultant, collaborating with clients in commercial theatre, higher education, and non-profit sectors to develop and implement their strategies for brand, communications, marketing, events, and social media. In 2022, in addition to continuing my work with Directors Gathering, I joined Liberum IME, an independent medical education company based in the UK, as a Medical Education Manager. In 2023, I shifted back to US-based CME and joined DKBmed as a project manager. With CME, I can offer my colleagues and learners my extensive expertise in supporting and implementing engaging, inclusive, and impactful education.
