ABOUT JILL HUGHES
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a triple major in accounting, finance, and international business and a minor in Spanish, I earned my CPA and began working in the Audit department of a regional accounting firm (Elliott Davis) in Charlotte, NC. I spent approximately four years in Audit (two as a staff and two as a senior) leading engagement teams, training new staff, implementing new GAAP standards, and serving as the main point of contact for client senior leadership. In May ‘21, I transitioned into Elliott Davis’s Transaction Advisory Services (“TAS”) M&A team to spearhead financial due diligence for multiple clients including those within healthcare, manufacturing & distribution, and various other service-related industries. I currently act as a Director within the TAS group, leading financial due diligence while building quality of earnings, net working capital, and debt / debt-like schedules in addition to writing comprehensive reports.
