As an associate in VNF\'s electric practice, I provide counsel to utilities and other market participants on a broad range of electric matters including regulatory and compliance counsel, renewable power development and integration, NERC reliability requirements, new transmission infrastructure, smart grid deployment, and natural gas integrated resource planning. Having previously served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Oregon Department of Justice, I have experience as the lead attorney in litigation for rate cases of major investor-owned utilities; working on interconnection and queue reform; leading the administrative rulemaking for utility investment in transportation electrification infrastructure and programs; and litigating depreciation studies. In addition, I am highly skilled at working with utilities, FERC, and the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) to ensure compliance with reliability standards, both physical and cyber, for the North American electric grid.
