Responsible for the provision and delivery of the full range of company secretarial and related services for HS2 Ltd, its Board, and committees, the Executive Committee, and its panels to minimise exposure and risk. Develop, implement and improve the corporate governance structure and processes and manage the operational support provided to governance entities within HS2 Ltd to assure high quality outcomes, right first time. Demonstrate emotional intelligence and gravitas, to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, other stakeholders and team members. Primary point of contact for the Company Secretariat team in matters of governance. The role provides a cross-functional overview and liaises and engages with key internal staff across all directorates on matters of governance. Management of SaaS Board platform, conducted a full audit of the content, designed robust security and information management protocols in line with recognised industry good practice. Supervised and developed several Future Talent Graduate and Apprentices in delivery across several internal Company Secretary related projects which linked to cybersecurity, audits, and management of information assets. Developed a dynamic Board tool to assist with management of the Board’s activities, track participation of internal and external activity on behalf of the organisation, development of Board appraisals, succession planning etc.
