ABOUT JIL ALLEN

As Vice President of People at Birmingham Fastener, Inc, I lead human resources strategy and operations for more than 700 employees across sixteen locations in the United States and Mexico. Over my nearly decade-long tenure with the company, I’ve had the opportunity to help scale the organization while building a culture grounded in accountability, safety, and strong values.I hold both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management (Athens State University and Troy University), along with a PHR-CA certification. My experience spans talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and leadership coaching—with a focus on creating practical, scalable solutions that support business growth.I’m passionate about building environments where people are challenged, supported, and empowered to grow. Whether it’s developing leaders, strengthening employee engagement, or aligning HR strategy with operational goals, I believe the best results come from investing in people and holding a high bar for performance and integrity.Throughout my career, I’ve led initiatives that improve retention, elevate leadership capability, and strengthen organizational culture—including mentorship programs, structured feedback processes, and leadership development efforts. I’ve also contributed to the broader HR profession through volunteer exam writing with the HR Certification Institute, supporting the development of competency-based assessments.At my core, I believe great companies are built by leaders who don’t forget where they started—and who make it a priority to bring others along as they grow.
