Understanding data better and faster is the primary motivation for me to pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Computational Sciences. The ability to interpret models correctly and provide accurate confidence intervals is critical for today\'s machine learning techniques from my perspective. I\'m eager to donate my time and effort to address this type of problem- Background:I have a mixture of background. My bachelor\'s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering was rewarded from Beihang University, one of the top Universities in China. Then I earned my Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University, WI. After spending a year and a half as an Automation Software Developer in Skygen USA, I joined the current Computational Sciences Ph.D. program at Marquette University. Meanwhile, I\'m also dual-enrolled in the Applied Statistic Master\'s program to gain deeper knowledge in my research field. As you can imagine, I have experienced a variate of disciplines across signal processing, software designing, statistical inference, and machine learning. I strongly believe my hybrid background allows me to think critically and provide good support for job duty- General Skillset:I\'ve experienced Object Oriented Programming languages like C# and Java and very familiar with the standard agile methodologies. Being an Automation Software Developer for over a year allows me to play with the Selenium framework frequently. But without the web driver, I\'m capable of writing BSF or DSF spider programs for text mining purposes with Python with a little help of the BS4 package. Without the help of Tensorflow and Keras, I can write vanilla neural networks to extract some features. I can even put it on an Arduino with some C++ to create something interesting in IoT.
