I began in the spa industry as a massage therapist and esthetician in resort hotels, eventually owning my own small day spa in southern Vermont. Missing the hotel spa energy, I decided to return to the resort world in 2005. I have facilitated the openings of four spas, where I recognized and began to develop my passion for training therapists, creating and implementing treatment protocols and travel. I then transitioned into the role of educator, becoming the National Education and Training Director at Universal Companies. My position as Vice President of both Maack Management and Spa Standard, allowed me to assist in providing support and structure to a strong and rapidly growing spa management company while simultaneously overseeing a unique educational platform for spa industry educators and passionate professionals across all areas of the spa, salon and wellness industry.
