ABOUT JHOOMA BHATTACHARYA COPPISETTI
I am a Data Management professional. A courageous change agent and early adopter, making informed decisions and taking risks that shape the direction of data strategy in organizations. I was fortunate to be recognized by progressive leaders at various stages of my career. As a DBA early in my career, I had demonstrated the value of hosting “RDBMS in the Cloud” ensuring continuity of work for my coworkers as I progressed to an Enterprise Architect role. My 2015 company internal paper co-authored with my colleague, on NoSQL when it was a buzzword, continues to be relevant. Good data fuels AI applications and managing quality data is key to successful implementation, regardless of company and data size. To that end, I lead strategic data architecture decisions, helping organizations meet objectives during transformation, growth, or business-as-usual phases. My experience in designing Data & Analytics platforms, supporting Data Lake and Delta Lake architectures, aim to serve data with minimal friction and maximum satisfaction to all personas, internal and external. I am known for my fearless and passionate approach to data democratization and automation, I strongly advocate for effective data governance and the ethical use of data. A dedicated lifelong learner, my latest accomplishment is MBA from Boston University. I hold a Chief Data Officer certificate from Carnegie Mellon University and a certificate in Applied Data Science from MIT. Additionally, I am Six Sigma Green Belt certified. When I’m not working, I find myself still \"working\" in a more expansive way. I enjoy long walks with my Cockapoo while listening to my favorite podcasts from the Royal Institute, AWS, and individual podcasters. Topics vary depending on the day: AI, the universe, biotech, technology, and, of course, data! I also donate my time helping others in their data pursuits or as a life coach.Areas of Expertise- Cross-Functional Communication & Team Leadership- Data Strategy & Analysis- Technology Evaluation & Implementation- Business Process Analysis & Automation- Data Management Maturity Assessment- Data Lifecycle Management- Metadata Management & Thought Leadership- Database Performance Management- High Availability and Disaster Recovery
