About Julianne Gaynor
A proud graduate of Howard University, I use my skills and education to tell stories in a creative, compassionate, equitable, and appealing way. Being from Amherst, New Hampshire, I truly enjoy spending hours swimming in the ocean and still crave hot lobster and oysters in the summertime. As a former reporter, I\'ve earned multiple first-place journalism awards for my feature and breaking news stories. Fun fact: I was also the first (and only) journalist to be embedded in New London High School, in New London, Connecticut, where I went back to school and reported on an intensive effort to improve the high school\'s standardized testing scores. Here in Austin, I have also earned an official proclamation from the Mayor of Austin and have increased opportunities to inform policy and advocacy around youth homelessness in Austin and across Texas. I was an Austin Under 40 Finalist in 2021.
