About Jhana Valentine
Increasing access to capital for underserved communities to address the racial wealth gap. Through 10 years working with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), I have helped thousands of low-income Californians access capital and avoid predatory loans by building a grant+loan program from the ground up and underwriting small business loans. CDFIs are mission-driven lenders who provide banking services to communities that mainstream finance has historically harmed and still underserves, such as Native communities, people of color, and women.
