As Director of Environmental Justice and Equity at the Office of Environmental Justice and Equity (OEJE) within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), I work under the leadership of Undersecretary María Belén Power to advance the Commonwealth’s environmental justice strategies. My role centers on engaging directly with communities, especially those historically overburdened and marginalized, to ensure their voices shape the policies and programs that impact their lives. I lead stakeholder engagement efforts across Massachusetts and collaborate with agencies under EEA and across Secretariats to design equitable solutions that reflect the lived experiences of environmental justice populations.At the core of my work is a commitment to fairness: advocating for the just distribution of environmental and energy benefits and burdens throughout the Commonwealth. Whether it’s supporting clean energy initiatives, shaping climate resilience strategies, or driving inclusive planning processes, I strive to embed equity into every facet of our environmental vision. Through community-driven engagement, cross-sector collaboration, and policy development, I remain dedicated to building a more sustainable, just, and resilient future for all residents of Massachusetts.
