About Jason Gaskill
I was asked the other day what I do, what my core skill set was. I said I worked in commercial property M&A, and my primary skill set was two fold: connecting obscure dots to bring together companies which, at first glance, made little sense even talking, but after further consideration create, through their union, something unexpected and very special; and second, keeping participants in the transaction engaged in the process and back from the ledge. I feel business is like art: each transaction is like a brushstroke getting the adviser or owner one step closer to a masterpiece, that it is something driven more by an innate need to recreate our environment in our own image than a logical drive for practicality. It may sound somewhat glib, even a bit heady. But I believe it. Business is art. It is the creation of something unique, individual, capable of bringing joy and happiness. I enjoy it everyday. And I enjoy working on projects, large and small, smooth or bumpy, complex or straightforward. I cannot let deals go once I see the end. I have to finish. And I seek opportunities to work with people who feel the same, where ever they may be.
