ABOUT JOHN A.

I am a people-focussed Director with experience of working in a range of businesses from large multi-nationals to SMEs, in a variety of industries and sectors. I am a strong people and process manager and qualified accountant with extensive PQE (having qualified in 2003), and have managed finance, operations, IT, HR and project management functions; I have an inherent desire to improve processes and remove waste, allowing businesses to thrive by better leveraging their infrastructure and HR investment, and ultimately to increase capacity without increasing costs. I have helped turn businesses from loss making to profit making and cash negative to significantly cash positive, re-engineering processes, engaging teams, changing culture, renegotiating contracts and leading systems implementations as part of the process.I have also have significant experience of R&D tax credits, cash flow management, healthcare VAT and have worked as Finance Director in owner managed and PE backed SME businesses and am a Director and Trustee of a charity. As a Finance Director, I have also been through the process of selling a business and then leading the subsequent integration into the acquiring organisation\'s structure.
