Responsible to manage, lead and develop the Systems & Safety Engineering (SSE) team for Project Fresson (conversion of a Britten-Norman Islander 9-seat aircraft from conventional fossil fuel to that of gaseous hydrogen propulsion).Main activities- Act as the point of contact for all things related to Systems and Safety Engineering to the Head of Engineering- To lead, develop and grow the SSE team and the individual engineers within the team- To define, plan and execute SSE work packages and provides updates to project manager, continually checking expectations- To be a coach in the art of Systems and Safety engineering- To verify and underwrite off all systems engineering technical deliverables on the project including requirements, design review documentation and change management using the SAE ARP4754 process- To verify and underwrite off all safety technical deliverables on the project including Aircraft and Systems FHA & SSA, Common Cause Analysis, Particular Risk Analysis and FMEA analysis using the SAE ARP4761process- Represents the company within Systems and Safety Engineering bodies and groups of interest, such as INCOSE- Identify trends across the aerospace sector, capturing and sharing lessons learned to improve the quality and efficiency of future work.
