Berkeley Food Institute leverages University of California resources in partnership with communities to shape a just farm and food system. BFI connects eight academic units: College of Natural Resources, Graduate School of Journalism, Goldman School of Public Policy, School of Public Health, College of Environmental Design, Haas School of Business, Berkeley Law, and the College of Letters and Sciences, Division of Social Sciences. I facilitate connections across departments, UC campuses, community organizations, and leaders in the field to increase access and opportunities in food systems education and workforce development. This includes managing and advising the Graduate Certificate in Food Systems, guiding internship placement for Food Systems Minors, managing grants and engaging in cross-UC collaborations.
