In 2015, I decided to embark on a new endeavour, and start my own business. Silverback Systems Services Ltd (or Silverback Systems for convenience) is professional services provider, specialising in Enterprise monitoring technologies with a strong focus on SolarWinds\' Orion Platform. This sector is becoming more and more prevalent, especially with businesses adapting to hybrid working following 2020\'s global COVID-19 pandemic, with many key staff now working from home and unable to keep as close tabs on their infrastructure as before.As the business owner, founder, and principle consultant, I have the honour of helping companies large and small, in both the public and private sectors get the most out of their chosen toolset. Where the client uses the SolarWinds Orion Platform, I bring my status as one SolarWinds global MVPs to the table. Coupled with multiple SolarWinds Certifications (see the certification section of my LinkedIn profile for details) and 8 (and counting!) years of working primarily with this toolset, I guide my clients to the outcome they need for their business, customising the platform so that it works for them exactly as they need it to.

I am an experienced IT professional. I understand that working to deadlines and working outside normal office hours is something which comes with the territory. In my previous employment I have had various levels of responsibility, ranging from clearly defined roles to running an 24x7 Network Operations Centre. I am as comfortable working alone as I am as working part of a team. If I do work alone, I will always manage my time efficiently so that I get the job done, and in most cases before the set deadline. When working in a team, I realise that communication is key. If I change something, I\'ll be sure to let the others know about it and alter any project documentation as necessary.
