About Jeydelyn Martinez
My passion for research, evaluation, facilitation and community-building spurred me to obtain my Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). There, I developed a systems-thinking lens to better understand and engage complex issues to deliver successful solutions. I am honored to have been selected to be the GEDI scholar through the American Evaluation Association. The GEDI is an internship and professional development opportunity for underrepresented graduate students like myself to extend our research capacities to evaluation, specifically employing culturally responsive approaches. I collaborated to design and build internal evaluation systems at FoodCorps within a culturally responsive and liberatory framework. Accomplishments: Completed a qualitative analysis of site interviews to evaluate plastic reduction in seven countries Identified areas of growth to achieve a three-year anti-racist strategy leading an evaluation of the Equity Day organizational retreat Conducted qualitative and quantitative analysis of 200+ service members and school leadership survey data to assist in the improvement of program planning, implementation, monitoring, and management Designed a detailed 8-week project plan, collaborating with UWM’s Global and International Studies programmatic needs Assisted in writing and editing grant proposal which led to securing Marquette University Explorer Challenge Innovation Funds to launch MKE EIP programming Received Wisconsin LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur Bootcamp Award Presenter & Facilitator at UWM MSP Overcome Conflict Training Proven Areas of Expertise: Project Management | Data Analysis & Management |Program Evaluation | Research | Policy Analysis | Facilitation | Cultural Humility| DEIJ | Innovation| Collaboration | Strategic Thinking | Storytelling | Attention to detail |Conflict Resolution| I am actively seeking my next challenge and am eager to connect with those whose duties include evaluation, facilitation and community-building within an inclusive, global and justice-focused organization where I can continue to hone my strengths to drive successful outcomes in our shared mission.
