Position: Federal Civilian Contractor, Alpha Omega Integration at NOAA NCEI (National Centers for Environmental Information), Data Stewardship Division (DSD), Data Operations Branch (DOB). Duty station is in Asheville, NC; working remotely and full-time.• Records and Information Management: Efficiently managing records and information resources to NOAA, DOC, and Federal Government standards.• Metadata Writing and Management: Crafting and overseeing metadata, with a strong understanding of metadata quality and standards. Must apply detailed standards to all metadata pages to ensure quality and longevity.• Knowledge of Data Citation Principles: Demonstrating a thorough understanding of principles for citing data and sources.• Negotiating Technical Submission Agreements: Working with stakeholders who submit data for long-term preservation at NOAA NCEI, ensuring technical requirements are met. Must communicate across teams, divisions, and organizations.• Project Planning and Management: Led cross-departmental project teams in Agile frameworks to ensure timely and high-quality data archiving. Coordinated with stakeholders to align project goals, define milestones, and address any emerging challenges, ensuring streamlined communication and adherence to timelines.• Librarian for Archive Branch Document Library (ABDocLib): Overseeing the document library, ensuring the organization and accessibility of resources. This includes creating and managing the metadata for the documents, and developing a plan to migrate the library to new software.• Attention to Detail: Maintaining a high level of precision in all areas of work.
