Supporting the use of ArcGIS in Canadian higher education by developing teaching resources and technical documentation for higher-education instructors and GIS administrators, and by providing guest lectures, lab activities, mailing-list emails, and virtual study groups for students. Topics have included ArcGIS Pro, User-Experience and User-Interface Design, ArcGIS Online, the ArcGIS API for Python, ArcGIS Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.Assisting with desktop and Web GIS application development for higher-education funded research projects and for Indigenous and non-profit partners. This work has included desktop development (C# development and Python scripting for ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap), Web development (customizing Esri’s Story Map templates, ArcGIS Experience Builder apps, and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder apps using the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript), VR development (Unity, C#), and user-interface design (sketching, wireframing, and prototyping).Developing teaching resources and delivering training sessions on ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, mobile data collection, and spatial-data management for the annual Indigenous Mapping Workshop (https://indigenousmaps.com)
