ABOUT JESUS VALLES MIRANDA
I am a Finance and Economics student focused on portfolio management, asset allocation, and understanding how portfolios behave across market cycles. My interests lie in disciplined capital allocation, risk-adjusted performance, and building investment processes that remain resilient when conditions change.As President of the Portfolio Management Group, I oversee a student-managed portfolio structured as a research-driven lab. Rather than chasing short-term returns, we emphasize valuation discipline, portfolio construction, and analyzing how drawdowns, correlations, and volatility regimes affect performance. Leading the team has strengthened my ability to make decisions under uncertainty and communicate investment thinking clearly.In parallel, I am developing PRMU (Portfolio Robustness Under Market Uncertainty), a quantitative research initiative examining how structural shifts in volatility and correlation impact portfolio resilience. This project has deepened my interest in systematic asset management and adaptive risk control.I am currently preparing for the CFA Program and Series 65 as I pursue a long-term career in portfolio management and asset management. I am particularly drawn to roles where rigorous research, disciplined process, and thoughtful risk management drive sustainable performance.Outside of markets, I value structured growth, continuous learning, and surrounding myself with people who challenge my thinking.
