About Jesus Manuel Rendon-Silva
As a Barrett student at ASU, I am pursuing three degrees in philosophy, political science and International Relations, with a keen interest in political engagement and civic leadership. I am also a proud alumni of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), two prestigious programs that have provided me with valuable mentorship, networking, and scholarship opportunities. I have gained hands-on experience in the legislative process and constituency outreach through my internships at the US Senate, working for Senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema in their Phoenix and DC offices. I have assisted staff with conducting the intake of constituent cases, tracking legislative bills, drafting reports, and communicating policy positions. I have also demonstrated my skills in legislative tracking, congressional research, and Spanish language, as well as my passion for serving underfunded and underprivileged communities. I aspire to become an agent and a newfound perspective for vulnerable communities, and to develop and become an engaged representative.
