Jess is a thought partner for leaders and those hungry to learn with extensive experience working in all industries and levels of business. She has years of expertise coaching and training executives and teams in the skills of developing trust, accountability, enhancing performance, conflict resolution, leadership coaching skills, and other important subjects at all career stages.Jess worked with one of the largest healthcare companies in Canada, with over employees, from 2012. As she developed the engagement strategy for the new Calgary Cancer Centre and more recently led leadership and team development across the organization, one of her areas of expertise was navigating socio-political situations and empowering system thinking. She has consulted with hundreds of leaders to help them better their own performance and ultimately to improve healthcare for all Albertans. She began her career as a stage actor and artist, but she didn\'t see the prospects for female artists that she desired, so she founded Calgary\'s first professional feminist theatre company. As a film festival producer, she created compelling and impactful programs and events that encouraged people from the Alberta LGBTQ community to share their stories through film. One of her peak moments in this phase of her career was hosting Dan Savage on his It Gets Better book tour to a sold-out performance in Calgary. Her approach and expertise are a fusion of her training and experience as an actor, career in the arts, certification as an Professional Coach, Graduate degree from Royal Roads University in Leadership Development and experience in many industries.
