As the Internal Auditor at Goldman Sachs, I utilize my analytical and communication skills to ensure compliance and accuracy in operational audits, reporting, and internal controls. I am an internal audit and accounting professional with expertise in financial, SOX, and operational audits across both corporate and banking environments. I have led audit management activities, supported SEC financial reporting, and regularly represented Internal Audit in Board Audit Committee meetings. My experience includes designing and enhancing internal controls (developing new controls, improving existing ones, and eliminating redundancies), overseeing SOX compliance, and conducting financial statement audits for SEC submissions. I’ve also managed cash flow analyses for goodwill impairment, prepared long-lived asset impairment memos, supported mergers and acquisitions through SOX readiness assessments, and led assurance engagements in international offices. Additionally, I have hands-on accounting experience in preparing financial statements, managing period closes, transitioning audit processes to digital platforms, and presenting process improvement recommendations to leadership.I have experience conducting audits and certifications for various global standards, including GRS, RCS, OCS, OBP, GOTS, and FSC, as well as coordinating and managing supply chain operations, sterilization, and obtaining registration permits. I have also trained and mentored new staff and auditors, and developed new audit programs with clients, resulting in a 53% growth in North American audits.I am currently pursuing a dual master\'s in Finance and Accounting from the University of Utah. I graduated from Utah State University with a dual bachelor\'s degree in International Business and Marketing, and a minor in Linguistics. I have lived in England and the United States. I have gained valuable international experience and awareness through my internship at the Department of Defense, where I obtained a Top Secret/SSBI clearance and assisted government officials. I also have experience working with small businesses and accounting firms, where I learned the importance of completing tasks effectively and accurately.
