ABOUT JESSIE YU
I’m a Health Sciences student at Queen’s University with a strong interest in medicine, biotechnology, and how the human body adapts in extreme environments. Through my coursework and lab experiences, I’ve become especially interested in how biological and chemical principles translate into real-world applications, from clinical medicine to emerging areas like space medicine.Outside of academics, I compete as a varsity and national-level artistic swimmer, having previously represented both Team Canada and Team Ontario. I’m currently training within the Ontario Artistic Swimming provincial judging pathway, with the long-term goal of progressing toward international-level judging.I’m currently exploring research and internship opportunities in medical, biotech, or lab-based settings, where I can continue learning, ask better questions, and contribute meaningfully.
