Sheltra Insurance is proud to host an annual hair cutting and fundraising event each year in October. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but also to honor all cancer patients everywhere, our office hosts an event where a person with 8, 10, 12 inches or more of hair can receive a \"free basic hair cut\" for donating their hair to a wig for cancer patients program. Participants that do not have hair long enough to donate are able to offer a minimum tax-deductible donation of $20 to receive a simple hair cut or trim, too, from one of the volunteer stylists. The event theme will be in Rainbow colors for the color of Cancer that has an important meaning to that individual. Host, Jessie Sheltra, has been wearing purple to this event since 2013 in honor of someone lost to Pancreatic Cancer age at the age of 40. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and show their support.
