Rooftop Musical Society was founded by Jessie Rogowski in the fall of 2018 with a concert version of ‘RENT’ on her Brooklyn rooftop. The growing theater company’s goal is to bring the excitement and spirit of a pop up performance on a rooftop to other locations throughout the city, such as ‘Spring Awakening’ throughout two floors of a historic church, and ‘Into the Woods’ in a church annex that we converted into a marketplace/woods. We strive to bring the audience closer to the story, its characters, and its unique location.
