Jessie F. Ms. Beeber has handled many significant false advertising, trademark, copyright and right of publicity matters. Ms. Beeber also has extensive experience in financial, corporate and insurance coverage and liability cases, including legal malpractice claims. She is well versed in every aspect of federal and state court litigation, mediation and arbitration and has handled cases pending in courts throughout the nation.Significant matters include:*Representing the estate of Robert Indiana (the artist best known for his famous LOVE design) in two multi-party litigations and an arbitration, all stemming from disputes over Indiana’s artistic legacy and the rights to sell his valuable works;*Representing major sports and entertainment venues in their COVID-19 business interruption insurance recovery efforts;*Representing CEP, a Brazilian operator of power plants, in its litigation against Caterpillar Inc, arising out of the malfunction of 144 generator sets manufactured by CAT; successfully opposed Caterpillar’s motion to dismiss for forum non conveniens and its summary judgment motion, leading to a favorable settlement shortly before trial;*Representing well-known music performers in their disputes;*Representing J.K. Rowling and the publisher of the renowned Harry Potter books against claims of trademark and copyright infringement;*Representing the successors to Margaret Mitchell in their controversial copyright case against the author and publisher of The Wind Done Gone, an alleged parody of Gone With the Wind; and*Representing the author and publisher of 60 Years Later: Coming Through the Rye against a copyright infringement claim brought by J.D.
