Bosque School is an independent Albuquerque school serving grades 6-12, and dedicated to challenging traditional education.We provide a dynamic, immersive learning environment, with unique educational opportunities for each student. Our nurturing, socially conscious community supports each student as they learn to work hard, think critically and solve problems, preparing them for the world in which they live. By developing the creativity and work ethic of our students, we aim to foster a desire for lifelong learning and inquisitive thought, rather than merely teaching to a test. Bosque School is “challenging education” in two ways. First, the school provides students with a challenging education that is rigorous and relevant and intentionally designed to best support today’s students for both academic and social-emotional success in middle/high school, college, and beyond. Second, Bosque is challenging the traditional model of education that has defined most schools since the industrial revolution. Throughout history, humans have learned by doing. It was only over the past century that learning shifted from a very experiential and engaged process to a very passive one. It is amazing how much our world has changed since the Industrial Revolution and shocking how slow school’s have been to adapt. Bosque opened 24 years ago with a goal to provide an educational opportunity that looked and felt different and was designed to reflect current realities and needs.
