ABOUT JESSICA WEI

I am a certified functional medicine practitioner who is board-certified in Integrative Medicine and currently practices virtually at Parsley Health. In my long medical career, I was initially board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I had the great privilege and honor of caring for thousands of women in the past twenty years, during their pregnancies and every phase of life from ages 10 to 95. However, as I cared for more and more women and listened carefully to their lives and bodies\' stories, I began to understand the limitations of conventional medical practice for them and myself. My conventional medicine training began at the University of Virginia School of Medicine after completing my undergraduate and graduate studies there. I completed my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. I enjoyed a successful and busy private medical practice for 13 years. I have immense gratitude for all that I learned from my patients, teachers, and colleagues during that time; however, I knew that there was much more to learn and understand and so much more to do. After becoming well-acquainted with the work of Dr. Mark Hyman, a thought leader in functional medicine, I embarked on my path to equip myself more thoroughly to take care of myself and others. I completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and became board-certified In Integrative Medicine. I am also certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine to practice full-scope functional medicine. During my years as a conventional doctor, I often felt that I did not have the proper tools or time to help women discover true health and vitality. Because I understand this struggle so well, having traveled this moment-to-moment journey toward remembering and realignment, I have become even more joyfully committed to helping others on this journey together. This intention led me to establish a holistic functional medicine practice in Connecticut. I am expanding my ability to care for more people by offering exceptional care via telemedicine at Parsley Health. And I am so excited to accompany you on your path to your best health and living your best life!
