Research in vivo cardiomyocyte reprogramming for cardiac regeneration• Utilize transgenic mouse models to investigate reprogramming of post-mitotic cells, including cardiac myocytes• Investigate partial reprogramming to reverse doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in human AC10 cardiomyocytes• Modify and optimize mRNA sequences for Yamanaka factors to maximize expression in CMs• Synthesize/characterize magnetic nanoparticles with different coatings (iron oxide, dextran, carboxymethyl dextran, silica) for various applications• Other experiments include genotyping (70+ samples), immunohistochemistry (50+ samples), and optimizing a protocol to culture AC10 cells (human cardiomyocytes)• Experience with dynamic light scattering, bio-rad gel documentation systems, and cryostat • Analyze and present data using MATLAB, Python, Fiji, and machine learning applications
